I want achievements that shows the world I've been playing the game and all my hours aren't just idling or something. I want to rack up hours of time I've played the game on my Steam profile. I pre-ordered the game on Steam and now I want to play it. As is anything about this that would be punishing for piracy in general. Denuvo and DRM in general is terrible and punishes people for buying games. Or that they're paranoid that they'll lose sales to piracy so want to delay PC availability. Or that they did this so people will buy the console version first and then buy it again for the PC later. Some people are claiming that they're now adding last minute Denuvo or some kind of other DRM to the game. Seriously hope there really was some serious game breaking bug or something like that and they couldn't just patch it to fix all the bugs over the next few weeks.Īnd this better not be something terrible like some people are murmuring about. I can't remain hyped/obsessed to play this game as I was for two whole weeks. But two weeks? Two weeks is a kind of long time. A few days was not long away, I had just got myself all excited to be playing this amazing game right around the corner. Mania, because I imagine they don't have it lying around)ĭigital PDF of the manual, possibly some of the posters too Taxman remaster of Sonic 1/2 for PC (even if it came after Here's what I think would be a lot more adequate consolation for PC preorders, though would require more work and/or resources (any one of these would do in my opinion): That said, I don't think the Sonic 1 is appropriate compensation for screwing up the excitement and first play experience for the PC fanbase. It's very unfair, but sadly those things happen. A YouTube suggestion video might pop-up with thumbnail of a new level, someone can inadvertently mention something etc. This is pretty unfair towards the PC users, it's going to be hard avoiding any kind of spoilers while everyone else plays. I was really looking forward to playing Sonic Mania without any spoilers and getting properly surprised, but unfortunately I don't own any consoles. This is pretty unfortunate, especially coming this late. It's hard to look past the nostalgia, especially if you have no nostalgia for these versions of the songs. Here is Sonic 3 Complete's solution to the whole MJ-Buxter Drama: Remove them! Replace them with Genesis-produced renditions of the PC versions.Īre they as good as the Buxer tracks? No, they aren't. Losing Ice Cap's genesis music and Sonic 3's Credits would be a shame, but it's all replaceable. Even his name would be wiped from the credits. They should just use the Chiptune version of the PC songs found in the Sonic 3 Compleate ROM.īuxer wouldn't be able to do anything about it. They could, if they removed MJ and Buxter's tracks, which I think they should.
